Hurricane Sandy

pThe Ridgefield Volunteer Fire Department had a full storm crew on hand for Hurricane Sandy.nbsp Volunteers staffed Engine 3 Tanker 12 Rescue 7 Car 3 and Car 4 for the duration of the storm and at times also had Tanker 10 and Truck 8 responding to calls.nbsp During the storm the department ran a multitude of calls ranging from wires down and burning to trees on houses with collapsenbspand trapped occupants.nbsp brppThe RVFDnbspspan fcktemp1spanencourages all people to exercise extreme caution while out around town and while at home.nbsp If you have any problems or concerns please contact fire dispatch to report it.nbsp brppRVFD crews are expected to be staffing apparatus at headquarters through Wednesday evening.nbsp brppbrppbrp
