The Ridgefield Volunteer Fire Department's Annual Firefighters’ Carnival and Fireworks will be from Wednesday June 24 through Saturday June 27 at East Ridge Middle School in Ridgefield, CT. Fireworks will be on Friday June 26 at dusk in honor of America’s 250th and to salute the “Spirit of America’s Volunteerism”

A letter from the from the Leadership of the Ridgefield Volunteer Fire Department: As we enter the holiday season, we pause from our day-to-day emergency response to express our gratitude—for our dedicated volunteer members and for the community whose generosity makes our life-saving mission possible.

Tanker 4 was placed in service September 2020. Tanker 4 replaces Tanker 10, which was retired after 34 years of service to the Town of Ridgefield. Tanker 4 is stationed at headquarters and is first due for the volunteers for: structure fires, alarms, and mutual aid tanker requests.

In August 2019, the department purchased and placed into service a new Ram utility truck and a Polaris Ranger ATV. The addition of these two specialized units allows us to better serve the town of Ridgefield.
